The Officina Meccanica Castelli was
founded approximately 40 years ago by Mr Francesco
Castelli, who firmly believed in this enterprise. The original 50
mē workshop, situated in Albiolo (Como) – Via Della
Fontana 20, has grown up, in the same place, to the
present industrial-type building, with almost 800 mē and
over 2000 mē of uncovered area. It
operates in the mechanic-textile field. The
company started its activity producing Jacquard machines
for Jacquard fabrics. Over the years its specialisation has changed. Remaining always connected with the textile industry, it has evolved in the production of fabric inspecting machines, fabric winders to be put under the looms, mobile vertical stores for fabric rolls and what else related to the textile industry and dyeing machines.
